On July 1st, Michelle along with her dog Lenny, will set out on her biggest journey yet, touring North America with an important purpose.  Her goal is to highlight and celebrate Accessibility so that anyone living with a Disability can explore and travel confidently.

Michelle has a strong love for adrenaline activities so there will be no shortage of skydiving, biking, hiking and meeting up with inspiring like-minded people that will share their stories of resiliency.

 

A little bit of Adrenaline, Accessibility and many Adventures. A perfect combo for a great road trip!

The Who, What, Why and How

​

Michelle Salt is a Retired 2x Canadian Paralympic Snowboarder, Accessibility and Mobility Consultant, Motivational Speaker and Adaptive Sport Advocate.

​

She is currently resides in Calgary Alberta and is 38 years old.

​

​

​

There are 66 Million living in North America with a Disability. Fully Accessible Adventure spots such as Beaches, Hiking Trails, Zoos, Theme Parks, Golf Courses, Campgrounds, Tour Companies, Resorts etc and even Rest Stops and Restaurants are not well documented on the internet or social media. Even when they are, they usually do not include video, images or an explanation of how they are adapted. Michelle is going to change that!

 

Michelle will visit as many accessible places as possible while travelling. Her goal is 3-4 locations per major city over the course of 3-5 days. Each of these will be well documented on multiple platforms for optimal exposure. She will include tips, hacks and advice while travelling as an amputee and solo. Staying true to herself, there will be no shortage of Michelle hucking herself out of planes, barrelling down mountains on her bike and hiking into the unknown with Lenny by her side. A unique perspective, one we feel like resonate with many!

Michelle will also be featuring inspiring people such as adaptive athletes, change makers and globetrotters.
